More speakers added to Choice Brits
All our Choice Brits screenings are introduced by film industry figures - celebrated filmmakers who are committed to supporting the range of British filmmaking on offer.
We're adding speakers in as the programme approaches, with the latest addition of Iain Softley to introduce our preview of Roger Michell's The Mother. Iain's career has taken him from Hamburg (location of his Beatles pic Backbeat) to Hollywood (with his all-star K-Pax) via the 'Grand Tour' (his Helena Bonham Carter starrer Wings of The Dove) - and he's a great advocate of UK talent.
Iain will be introducing one of the more controversial titles in the Choice Brits series - The Mother - scripted by Hanif Kureishi, which tackles an inter-generational love story. Screened as the British Gala at The Times bfi London Film Festival just last week, The Mother opens later in the month - grab the chance to see it in advance on Monday 10 November at Screen on the Hill - call 020 7435 3366 for tickets or if you're a BAFTA member, email your request to bafta@scriptfactory.co.uk
